Very few of us are aware that the application for Voter ID card can be submitted online. Recently election commission of India has started accepting online registration of voters. If you still don’t have a voter ID card, today I will explain step by step process to register for Voter ID card online.
Normally within next few days, an election commission representative will visit your home to verify your address and details submitted at the time of registration.
After that you will receive your voter ID card at your home.

Step 1: Visit the ECI website here – In ‘Online Voter Registration’ tab, there are five options – Form 6, 6A, 7, 8 & 8A.
The name of the constituency should be mentioned in the blank space.
Name (With Documentary Proof) The name as it should appear in the electoral roll and Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) should be furnished.
