Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc. It gives you the opportunity to focus on those who do respond.
I try to send an "I'll write soon" but sometimes there's not even time for that.
But if it's a "no" from me I delete immediately; I don't want to give any false hope.

Hopefully you will all have fun meeting singles and try out this online dating thing... My messages are usually short, polite and to the point. Should I send a second message or should I take that as a sign they are not interested?
Is it unwise/creepy to send a second message a few days later? There are a few women who I was very interested in, and they read the message but didn't reply, yet did not delete. as long as you're not one of those guys that would say something like "apparently your too good" or some other bs about not replying your first message , I dont see any harm in emailing someone twice. This is just a small symptom of what has happened to our society in general.
I know I am not very good yet at writing these messages.. But is it out of the bounds of POF etiquette to send a follow up? If they really are not interested, they'll just ignore it again or delete. This has been hashed a 1000 times to Sunday but after all is said and done there is NO good reason not to send a polite no thank you. OP like I have said before these sites are like self cleaning ovens. The worst that could happen is that you annoy/inconvenience some stranger on the internet a tad. Every guy has to sacrifice a little of that, along with his pride when you enter this place.Nevertheless, you had better make it good--put some thought into your message so there is at least some chance that you'll get a positive response. I say send one or two, its online, just be kind and be a gentlemen. Read but not deleted and not responded to still means, 'No thanks.'I never delete my messages. Take into consideration that your read but not responded to message is likely already on page two and out of site, out of mind while you are wondering if you should send a second one.On the other hand, maybe they missed the first one somehow or the second one will give em the push to look more at your profile. If someone doesn't respond they are rude and discourteous but also someone who you don't want to bother with. Anyway - do you really want a woman that wants a stalker, or groveling male? Before Wednesday, add your plans for the weekend into your profile. Emaill the women you find interesting and attractive and keep fishing. I am going to follow up on a few women, I really like and see how that goes.
