Today I show how to fix a known video problem on some HP laptops using bubble wrap. First, I tried this fix on a failed HP tx1000 Tablet PC. To make sure there is no cool air coming into the case through the bubble wrap, I closed all air vents with sticky tape.
Nothing that I am aware of that is currently in the consumer marketplace is capable of that.
Who knows, perhaps that could be a part of the hardware interface of a future operating system.

I am having issues trying to upgrade my video card. The fan motor is going out on it and is loud and drives me crazy. found out From PNY that their cards are not compatible with this model. The literature in conflicting but did see that it requires 400W power supply. Installed card and computer started up and then shut down and then I started it up and it shut down. I just want a graphics card that does works and does not drive me insane.

I didn’t really believe that this trick might work and tried it just because of curiosity but… I closed it in a tablet mode (with hard drive and battery removed), plugged the AC adapter and wrapped the laptop properly in bubble wrap. I just couldn’t stop and tried the fix on another one. It was running like that for about 60-70 minutes but then I noticed that all LED lights went off. Maybe the motherboard overheated too much and shut down on its own.
